Introduction: South Coast Skoda was formed around 1997 by myself and two others, At the time Skoda's were just beginning to lose the bad image that they unfairly had during the 1980's Bad Press and Comedians using Skoda Cars as an easy target took its toll on 1000's of cars being neglected and eventually being scrapped long before their time.

The Newly formed South coast Skoda Club attended many Skoda Owners Club (www.Skoda-owners-club.org) meets usually adding a sense of mayhem to wherever we went, Owners club members at the time were driving the latest models and because of this with the exception of a small group we were subjected to being outcasts or rebellious.

Quite soon we had a reputation for being the "ones to ask" about rear engined Skoda's and modifying them. Many a rear engined Newbie Sheepishly approached us wanting to know where to get this and that or how to do this or that. The 90's Soon passed us by and we found ourselves into the new millennium and in 2005 The Rear Engined Skoda was now being given the cult status that it rightly deserves. Now when you pull into a petrol station in an old Skoda you get comments like "I haven't seen one of those in years" rather than the "Err Skoda!" Comment!

To the Left you can see a picture taken at the time when Southcoastskoda started attending Skoda owners club events. This photo was taken at Banham Zoo national camp between 98 to 99.

:: Current Restoration's in progress

SouthCoastSkoda always have some members trying there best to save a rare car or to do some overdue maintenance on a daily runabout. The garage page on this site is the best place to keep up to date with the latest goings on at Southcoastskoda. Currently there are no greater than 6 Current ongoing restorations that are hopefully going to be completed over the next coming couple of years.
 A Lot of effort was made to safe these cars from the crusher or possibly being used for kit cars.

We save these cars because they are rare and deserve the care and attention that they deserve.

Cars pictured right are: MK1 Estelle 120L, MK2 Super, Estelle 105S, Skoda 130Sport

Hope you Enjoy what you find
